Came across your site on the Web recently. 

That's me as George Young in Linda's photos.  My name is Garth Granholm and I competed for the University of Portland in the early 80's.

Participating in the "Without Limits" film was an honor.  I am sure the finished product will be very true to the spirit and legacy of Pre.  Billy did a great job of capturing the essence of Pre, both in character and running style.  He put up a good effort running 200 after 200 on successive days of 90+ degree temperatures. 

The level of movie talent and running talent involved with this project was amazing.  We had runners in the 72 Trials scenes who were World Class, Olympic medalists, etc. 

Unlike many sports movies, the athletic sequences should be realistic.  Conrad's photography is beautiful.  The attention to detail was very good, right down to our custom made adidas spikes. 

Being back at Hayward brought back many memories of competing against Salazar, Chapa, McChesney and Rono.
